The OCEANIA Environmental Monitoring System consists of any number of OCEANIA buoys combined with a versatile tracking & monitoring package that can be tailored to suite a wide range of applications.
For example: Oil spill tracking, Oceanography data monitoring, Iceberg tracking, Discrete marker buoy, Search and Rescue distressed vessel marker, Tidal drift monitoring, Any other application where free-floating assets need to be tracked

The standard version of the Oceania Buoy is equipped with a GPS receiver, a surface temperature sensor, an out-of-water sensor and a satellite transceiver. It can operate in water temperatures between -20°C & +50°C. The electronic architecture of the buoy allows the monitoring of up to five additional sensors, enabling a tailor-made solution to meet custom-specific requirements.
The Oceania Buoy transmits the data - GPS position, surface temperature and any other parameter being measured - to a dedicated server loaded with the Oceania Marine Tracking Buoy Management & Monitoring Software. This displays the information in an easy-to-use format. Due to the flexibility designed into the system, transmission parameters such as frequency of transmissions etc. can be modified from the server instantly.
The Buoy is equipped with a solar rechargeable battery and solar panels allowing up to two years of continuous operation before requiring a battery change. It can also be upgraded to carry alkaline cells for specific applications such as oil spill monitoring.
OCEO Supervision Software
The management & monitoring software can be installed either onboard a vessel or in an office, and will track up to 2,000 Oceania buoys at any time. This software platform enables multi-user control and monitoring from a number of different locations at the same time, with the ability to manage access and control data between individual sites.
The Oceania Marine Tracking Buoy system has been designed to be as flexible as possible, with the ability to add additional monitoring parameters, additional sensors and alarms etc. and localized control and management of data adjustments, either onboard a vessel or in an office, via the management & monitoring software.
